In 2019 the Hancock Park Garden Club gave a grant to the Natural History Museum to build their first Curiosity Cart.  The cart will enable the Museum to reach new audiences with important and timely stories about biodiversity, wildlife habitat, and ecologically sensitive gardening in the Los Angeles area.

The funds were used to design and fabricate a customized, durable, mobile cart that serves as a gathering place where Museum staff and volunteers can provide timely interpretation of happenings, accompanied by authentic objects from their vast collections. The NHM envisions using the cart for small-scale hands-on activities and guided exploration as well.
